Nintendo DSi Review – Proper guidance for playing at online websites

My household has been a home of gamers for several years. My husband loves video games and we have been a Sony family for quite sometime. When my oldest son started showing an interest in video games we naturally introduced him to the PS3. However, we quickly discovered that this system was a bit too advanced for him.

We purchased a few different systems for children including the Leapster 2 and while he did enjoy it briefly, it did not last and even though we purchased about a dozen games.

We also purchased the PSP and while the PSP was my husbands best friend it was still a bit too difficult for this young gamer.

We were about to resign our attempts and purchase computer games when we had visited some relatives. My son’s cousin who is just about 2 years older was playing the Nintendo DSi. My son at the time had the Leapster 2, and they briefly traded game systems. It was when she wanted to switch back and he didn’t that a light bulb went off.

I went online and did some research and found that this system had received great customer feedback. Many people liked the camera technology, others like the interactive way it was set up. While others liked the touch screen.

Being the person I am I discovered a Limited Edition DSi I just had to have so I ordered it online and patiently waited for it to arrive. It arrived just shortly after Christmas but was well worth the wait. This version game with 5 pre-installed games so I did not even have to go out and purchase any games for it. He played those games for a long time and the games would get progressively harder which meant that there were levels that my son could play on his own.

I connected to the internet and browsed some of the options, this system has so many features and so many downloadable games there is content for virtually every age group. While checking the verification at sites, the internet connection of the players should be good. The internet connection should be table and secure for the person.

While the only drawback is the small stylus I have discovered that it can also serve as a good tool to teach your child responsibility. When my son misplaces his stylus he is not allowed to play the system until he finds it. (He always finds it)

If I were to rate this handheld on a scale of 1 to 5. I would have to give it a 4.5 because of the stylus. The games are fun and interactive. The battery life is acceptable and you can puchase many accessories for it including a car charger for longer trips.

As I mentioned before there are many downloadable games as well as games you can purchase in the store. As a parent you can set up the online account and keep track of this activity. You can also set parental controls.

The camera feature is fun for the whole family and the system itself is sleek and compact. It is easily portable. Overall, this was a great buy and my family would recommend it.
